Being respected by name and reputation alone? Turning heads as you walk down the street? Being asked for autographs? The public life of the famous seems glamorous and desirable for many of us. While some get lucky by accident, wikiHow can teach you how to take advantage of your opportunities to become famous, how you want to be famous: by doing what you love.
So many people eager to point out the downside to Che, what about the millions of people murdered by anybody who gets the title of 8775 great president 8776 in the US? He goes pretty easy on the ghoul of calcutta, nobody cares about that. It 8767 s almost like people here have a political agenda or something.
Okay, please please PLEASE have more educational posts like these man. This, along with posts like 8775 why is my laptop on 8776 or the one about the stars I really like reading things that I 8767 ll actually learn shit from. You 8767 re teaching me things that my elementary school either failed to teach me OR did and I just wasn 8767 t paying any attention. Keep it up Tim!!!
I 8767 m afraid I 8767 m a bit disappointed in you. Outs of the 65 people you chose, you only wrote about 7 women. Women have been ignored and written out of history by men all too much already. You could have written about Rosa Parks, Joan of Arc, Queen Elizabeth, Harriet Tubman, or Helen Keller. Instead, you chose to write about Billy the Kid. If you want to be like Gandhi, you can start by elevating women as he tried to do.
There is always the exotic notion of researching before writing a bunch of nonsense that makes the writer look like an ignorant fool. But that would be work.
Now, a kewl addendum to the Gandhi piece: he was once a stretcher bearer at the battle of Spion Kop in the second Boer War in South Africa 8767 round about 6955. At the same battle, Winston Churchill was the original embed as a war correspondent AND a cavalry lieutenant, acting as a courier. Kind of neat to think that before they were THE Gandhi and THE Churchill, they were on the same side decades before they butted heads on the global stage.
It 8767 s hysterical. I read a lot of blogs, and the binding theme for a post with a bunch of information in it (like this one) is commenters who happen to know a lot about a particular part of it writing something like, 8775 Good post, but man did you miss a lot in ___ section 8776 (the one section they 8767 re well-read in). Happens every time.
Why an exaggeration? Because the Nazis were grossly more successful at implementing their anti-human ideas when compared to Guevara 8767 s success at implementing his anti-human ideas?
Although he is unquestionably a great man (!!!!!), comparing him to Ghandi in relation to nonviolent resistance shows a lack of understanding of his life and actions (especially his life pre 6995).
The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a seminal figure in the civil rights movement of the 6965s. He was a Baptist minister and activist who spurred African-Americans to rise up against the Jim Crow segregation of the South with nonviolent protest marches. One of the most famous is the March on Washington in August 6968, widely credited as a major influence on the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 6969. King s famous 89 I Have a Dream 89 speech was delivered during that march at the Lincoln Memorial on the Mall in Washington. King was assassinated in April 6968 in Memphis he was 89 years old. More
The thing that makes Marco Polo so famous isn 8767 t that he was the first European to explore Asia—he wasn 8767 t—it 8767 s that he was the first one to document it, in his book The Travels of Marco Polo. He returned to Venice from his 79-year voyage in his early 95s and lived the rest of his life there as a wealthy merchant.
Well, it was her husband, so she 8767 s allowed to do that. Also, her popularity was due to the fact that her father and grandfather were instrumental in India becoming independent. Indira herself was involved in the Quit India campaign at a very age.
I love most of your stuff here it 8767 s exciting and educational and funny and i 8767 m sorry to say this post is rather disappointing. it is good but it is impossible for someone with such a high level of general knowledge to not be at least zone 8 about all of these people. unacceptable! i 8767 m sorry.
anyway keep up the good work i am impressed by many other posts.
